Prodimex specialists from the Voronezh region showed their steel character
June 8
Recently employees of the management company Prodimex Agro, part of Prodimex Group, took part in the All-Russian multi-sport project “Steel Character”. The project organizers welcome individual participants too, but place the emphasis on the corporate format: after all, cohesion and mutual assistance when completing the course together show themselves most strongly. The Prodimex Agro team was large — 28 people, 8 of them women!
Employees from several departments of the company, as well as a number of managers, showed real team spirit in several stages of the competition. The organizers prepared tough challenges for participants: runs from 3 to 11 km and thirty-one obstacles that could not have been overcome without teamwork.
On the vertical walls our athletes built a human ladder, in the swamp section they took turns pulling out stuck sneakers, and on the final climb they literally pulled each other up. The competition became a real challenge which, according to Prodimex Agro employees, helped everyone test their endurance.
And here is what the heroes of “Steel Character” say:
Sergey Lysenko, Construction Department: “This year I decided for the first time to take part in the ‘Steel Character’ run, and it so happened that the team chose the 11 km distance. The feeling is that it really hardens character, and it is truly a team event. It is not just a run but a full-fledged sports gathering with its own rules, atmosphere and fun. The emotions, of course, are off the charts.”
Dmitry Glukhov, Technical Department: “This year our team lined up for the start of ‘Steel Character’ in Voronezh for the first time, on the 11 km distance, and I can say one thing: it was legendary. We trained for two months, but the real course turned out to be even tougher than the training plans. And thank goodness we did not run alone. Not a run but a test of trust. Thanks to the team! We are already planning to apply for next year. Who is with us?”
Ivan Rykov, Engineer, Yuzhny branch: “I took part in ‘Steel Character 2026’ and got a colossal charge of energy! I especially want to note the incredible atmosphere created by well-coordinated teamwork.”
Anna Matykina, GIS Department: “This year I took part with colleagues in the ‘Steel Character’ run. I came away with positive impressions, and in the moment it was mostly fun and lively. I am glad I took part. I think next year I will dive headfirst into the mud again.”
Denis Kudryavtsev, IT Systems Operations Department: “The fifth time round, nothing is scary any more! Obstacles come easily to me; for me ‘Steel Character’ is not about physical training or sport, it is about emotions, support and friendship.”
Mark Kaverin, Agronomy Department: “I want to once again express gratitude to all the organizers of the event. In my opinion, such team activities are a wonderful way of maintaining and improving the friendly atmosphere in the team and bringing colleagues together. Personally I liked everything very much, and I would try not to miss a single such event.”
Anna Yarovaya, Technical Department: “I’ll say right away: it was tough but insanely cool. At first we thought the main problem would be the running, but psychologically the hardest was the mud bath stage. Forcing yourself to climb into cold, sticky mud was not easy. In terms of physical effort — storming the tall container: pulling yourself up on wet, slippery hands and then diving headfirst into a mud bath of unknown depth turned out to be a test. Impressions: at the finish we looked like mud monsters, with grins from ear to ear. But the feeling ‘I did it!’ is worth everything, especially when you know you did not do it alone.”
All participants note that despite the difficult route, the fatigue and the muddy clothes at the end of the course, they experienced a huge emotional lift. It was not only a sports competition where everyone can test their strength but an event in which mutual help, friendship and positive emotions come first.
