Specialists of Prodimex farms in the Kursk region gave a positive assessment of the upcoming season

March 2
Prodimex Group farms in the Kursk region are actively preparing for the start of the new agricultural season.

Spring is forecast to be warmer this year than in 2025, which will affect the intensity and pace of field work. Only weather anomalies may complicate the sowing campaign — an early or late spring with sharp air temperature fluctuations and night frosts below 0 degrees.

In the region, abundant precipitation in autumn 2025 and this snowy winter will make up for the moisture deficit after the unfavorable conditions of the two previous years. The strong frosts that prevailed in January should help reduce pest numbers.

At present, according to the results of monolith sampling, winter crops are in satisfactory condition. A more accurate forecast for the condition of winter wheat can be made after the snow cover melts.

Prodimex Group specialists also described the stable trends in agriculture in the Kursk region as a whole.

The main tasks of the region’s agro-complex at present are developing crop production with the introduction of innovative technologies, developing the land reclamation complex, bringing unused arable land and other categories of agricultural land back into use, and digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies. Serious attention is also paid to developing breeding and genetics.

An important role is played by creating a favorable investment climate in agriculture and ensuring the sustainable development of rural areas. Agricultural enterprises face important questions of rural employment and raising living standards in the countryside.

Overall, agriculture in the Kursk region shows significant successes and is seeking comprehensive approaches to existing challenges.
