What kind of problems are farmers currently facing in the Southern Russia? How did the sowing campaign start and what kind of professionals are missing in the industry? Deputy General Director of Prodimex Group Vadim Yeryzhensky spoke about this and much more in an interview with RBC TV South.

— During the last season, Prodimex enterprises processed almost 10 million tons of sugar beets, including 7 million tons produced by the company’s own farms, manufactured over 1.2 million tons of sugar and 370 thousand tons of granulated pulp. The season was difficult due to weather conditions and first expectations were rather pessimistic. How did you manage to achieve such good results?

— These results are indicators of our leadership in the industry. Despite the difficulties we have shown very good results due to the correct approaches in technology, production organization and labor discipline that have been developed over the years. We have already started sowing in the southern regions. The sowing campaign began in Stavropol region and later in Krasnodar region. Totally we are planning to sow about 23 000 ha of arable land. So far everything is going well. Rainy weather interferes with our work everywhere, but this is not crucial.
