Russia is the largest wheat exporter in the world. Prodimex is one of the leaders in grain crops production and controls one of the most extensive land banks in this country.
In 2022, our farms grew more than 2 million tons of cereals, legumes and oilseeds. We grow about 6.2 million tons of sugar beet in our fields annually.
The crop yield depends on the selection of the most effective and climate-appropriate varieties, soil fertility, compliance with the requirements for its processing and plant care. The coherence of work of all members of the chain — farmers, carriers, grain elevator staff is very important.
Watching soybeans grow one can estimate how labor-intensive the crops cultivation is.
The Prodimex Group of companies controls over 900 thousand hectares of land located in the regions with the most favorable conditions for growing cereals, legumes, and oilseeds.
Agricultural enterprises use 10 company’s own elevators.
The harvest of cereals, legumes and oilseeds is stored in elevators, warehouses and sleeves. The total storage capacity exceeds 1 million tons. To ensure the safety and rational use of products we strictly observe the requirements in placement, post-harvest processing and grain storage.
Our main goal is to increase productivity considering natural features.
We apply scientific approaches to crop rotation and soil preparation, select and produce seeds fit for regions and climates and use mineral and organic fertilizers paired with modern environmentally friendly technologies for better weeds and diseases control.
The use of deep loosening of the soil instead of tilling contributes to water accumulation and conservation, to reduction of topsoil wind and water erosion, and ensures the destruction of the plow pan. Fertilization with the defecation mud enables to utilize the waste of the sugar factory and ensure soil deoxidation and to reduce input of mineral fertilizers.
