Prodimex sugar plants have produced a millionth ton of sugar from 2021 sugar beet crop

Today, GC of Prodimex sugar plants have produced their millionth tonne of sugar processed out of sugar beet harvested in 2021. This is the result of well-coordinated work of all the sectors of the complete production cycle: from beet cultivation to sugar production. In the current season, Prodimex plants have planned to process about 7.5 mln tonnes of root crops. This year's harvest at the GC's agricultural enterprises has been completed as soon as practicable and with minimal losses.

The Group of Companies of Prodimex has been producing sugar from sugar beet for over 20 years. The company is the definitive leader in Russia's sugar beet industry. Every fifth spoon of sugar in the country is produced at the GC’s plants. Sugar beet is cultivated on the fields of agricultural enterprises of Prodimex in 8 regions of the country. The group includes 14 sugar plants located in Voronezhskaya, Belgorodskaya, Kurskaya, Penzenskaya regions, as well as in the Krasnodarsky and Stavropolsky krai.

For the last 15 years the sowing area of sugar beet of Prodimex has increased by 10 times. The sowing areas are located in the most developed agricultural regions of Russia. Now, the GC controls one of the largest land banks in the country: a total area of cultivated land is more than 800 thd. ha.
