The agricultural enterprises of GC of Prodimex, Russia's largest agricultural-industrial Group of Companies, have summed up the results of sowing winter crops. The total sown area of Prodimex enterprises was more than 230 thd. ha. According to expert estimates of the agronomical service, the condition of winter crops is good. Even sprouts have been obtained on all areas of sowing. Farms agronomists are constantly controlling seeding and carry out protecting measures for it. The total area of GC of Prodimex cultivated land is more than 800 thousand hectares in 8 regions of Russia. The sowing areas are located in the most developed agricultural regions of Russia: in Voronezhskaya, Belgorodskaya, Kurskaya, Lipeckaya, Tambovskaya and Penzenskaya oblasts, in Krasnodarsky and Stavropolsky krai.
This year the GC of Prodimex has started realizing plans to increase grain storage capacity in Voronezhskaya oblast, where the main production capacities of the agricultural Group of Companies are located. An ambitious project has been designed to modernize the Tulinovsky elevator, which will increase grain storage capacity by 15.000 thd. t. After commissioning, the facility's storage capacity will be more than 120 thd. t. In total, Prodimex possesses 10 elevators with a total storage capacity of more than 1 mln. tonnes.
Scheduled modernization of Prodimex's agricultural enterprises and sugar plants is in progress. We remind that the Group of Companies of Prodimex is the leader of the sugar beet industry in Russia. The GC includes 14 sugar plants in 6 Russian regions. Every fifth spoon of sugar in the country is produced at the plants of GC of Prodimex. For instance, as a result of reconstruction and modernization of AO Uspenskiy Sakharnik (the enterprise ranking TOP 1/TOP 3 for many years of the largest sugar plants in Russia), the volume of processing increased more than 5 times up to 12 thd. tonnes a day.
Today all Prodimex's sugar plants have completed the acceptance of raw material from agricultural manufacturers. For the last 15 years the sowing area of sugar beet of Prodimex has increased by 10 times. A five-year crop rotation planning system is traditionally applied in all agricultural enterprises of the Group of Companies.
