Prodimex Group started sowing sugar beets

Prodimex Group farms started the sowing of sugar beet which is one of the company’s key crops. Statistically this important stage of the agricultural season in different regions takes from a fortnight to a month providing that the weather is fine during this period.

Prodimex Group farms in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions were the first to start sowing sugar beets. The planned area for this crop in the Kuban region is 10.700 ha, and in the Stavropol region more than 12.000 ha. To date, the sowing progress is 13.5% and 32% of the planned areas respectively. Among the leaders are Nasha Rodina and Veles farms of the Gulkevichi district where about 38% of the area under sugar beets has already been sown.

Prodimex farms in the Central Black Earth region schedule to start sowing a strategic crop at very end of March - early April.
The total area of Prodimex Group’s land set for sugar beet crops this season amounts 160.000 ha.
