November 23, 2023
This summer agricultural enterprises of the Krasnodar and Stavropol farms of Prodimex Group were audited in compliance with the new requirements of the FSA 3.0 Program. The updated program was officially launched in 2021 and provides for the continuous improvement of social, environmental and business performance of agricultural enterprises through the improvement of all important stages of the of the raw materials supply chain, which contributes to the further development of sustainable agriculture at the farms. The new version of this standard includes more strict requirements for the farming system: the development of a continuous improvement plan with justification for the selection of priority topics, measurable goals, precise deadlines, persons in charge of implementation of activities and assessment of achievement of goals through monitoring and internal audit.
The FSA3.0 self-assessment questionnaire measures whether regenerative agriculture practices have been implemented to improve soil health, biodiversity conservation, aquatic ecosystem restoration and to diminish the carbon footprint.
Verification was carried out at farms supplying beets to Uspensky Sugar Plant. The teams of agricultural enterprises confirmed their professionalism and responsible attitude at every key stage of production. As practice has shown it is possible to achieve the set goals by combining the efforts of the plant and agricultural enterprises, the eagerness to share experience with colleagues and the desire to remain the best in their field. The participation of agricultural enterprises in audit activities confirms the continuous improvement of agrotechnical and production processes by different enterprises of Prodimex Group in strict compliance with the environmental and social agenda.
Generally the FSA Program is a truly reliable tool in a food company's efforts to improve its sustainability performance.
