Prodimex and Uralkali signed a cooperation agreement

Prodimex Group and the leading fertilizers manufacturer Uralkali signed an agreement for the supply of more than 130 000 tons of potassium over the next 5 years.
Cooperation between the leader of the Russian agroindustrial complex and one of the world’s key producers of potassium chloride has been ongoing for more than 10 years, with annual fertilizer supplies amounting to 30 000 tons. When signing the document General Director of Uralkali Vitaly Lauk noted that adding potassium chloride to sugar beets is a mandatory method since it improves its technological qualities. «Sugar is a strategically important product for ensuring normal living standards of the population and food security of the state,» he emphasized.
For his part, Deputy General Director of Prodimex Group Vadim Eryzhensky noted that the effective use of potash fertilizers is an important factor in increasing sugar beet yields. This is confirmed by the record results of the previous season with more than 7 million tons of sugar beets harvested by Prodimex Group farms. He also thanked Uralkali for the long-term partnership. «I am confident that our companies will continue to work successfully to maintain a high level of food security in Russia,» said Vadim Yeryzhensky.
