Prodimex continues its work on training personnel for agribusiness

June 4
An on-site event devoted to training personnel for the agro-industrial complex was held at Solnechnaya Secondary School in the Kursk region. We reported that in early 2024, thanks to the joint efforts of the Kursk-Agro branch of Prodimex Group, Kursk State Agrarian University, the administration of the Zolotukhinsky district and Solnechnaya School, the first agro-class was opened.

The meeting was attended by Oksana Kenya, Deputy Director of the Center for Agroanalytics of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Irina Polyanskaya, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Kursk Region, Andrey Malakhov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Kursk State Agrarian University, and others. Prodimex Group was represented by Deputy CEO Vyacheslav Rodin and Oleg Ochkasov, director of the Kursk-Agro branch.

The round table was devoted to training personnel for the agro-industrial complex. Solnechnaya School became one of the first educational institutions in the region to join this work. Today an agro-class and an agrotech-class operate successfully here, allowing schoolchildren to become acquainted with modern agriculture while still studying.

The practical part of the program let participants see career guidance in action. The guests attended agro-class lessons, where schoolchildren studied seed material, and then got to know the work of the agrotech-class. During the on-site lesson, the children studied the specifics of growing sugar beet and forming the yield of one of the region’s key agricultural crops.

Interaction of employers with schools and universities makes it possible to build a modern system of training personnel for the agro-industrial complex and to create conditions for the professional development of the industry’s future specialists.
