New storage for granulated beet pulp functions at Pereleshinsky sugar plant

In September Pereleshinsky sugar plant (belongs to Prodimex Group) put into operation a new warehouse for storing granulated beet pulp. Simultaneous storage capacity of the warehouse is 7500 tons and currently about 6000 tons are already being stored. The construction of the warehouse commenced in April 2022 and the investment in this project was estimated at 110 million rubles.
Granulated beet pulp is a nutritious livestock fodder. It contains fiber, pectin, protein, various trace elements, some sugar and much more. After processing of 100 kg of beets around 4.5 kg of pulp remains and drying and granulation increase its shelf life and facilitate transportation. Dry pulp is nutritionally equal to concentrated fodder, for example 100 kg of pulp contains 85 feed units. The variety of valuable components in the pulp determines beneficial features of the product and makes it possible to widely use it in animal husbandry. Granulated beet pulp is in stable demand on the international market.
