Prodimex is completing preparations for the spring sowing campaign in the Central Russia regions. Kursk region farms are planning to sow spring crops on 144 000 ha. Spring wheat and sugar beets are planned to be sown from March 25 to April 30, soybeans — from April 25 to May 31.

Winter crops are being fertilized in the Belgorod Region. Next week, the farms will start sowing spring wheat and will also start applying mineral fertilizers for sugar beets and sunflowers. The start of sugar beet sowing is scheduled for early April.

Prodimex farms in Penza region plan to start fertilizing winter crops at the end of this week. In theregion the soil is still frozen but the experts confirm that crops have securely wintered and there is enough moisture now. In Bashkortostan, winter crops will be fertilized in the first week of April and the start of the sowing campaign is scheduled for April 20 −25 . Seeds and fertilizers have been stored in full, the machinery and equipment will be completely ready for the start of sowing between April 10 to 15.

Prodimex Agro farms in Voronezh, Lipetsk and Tambov regions started spring campaign on March 11 . Mineral fertilizers are being applied for spring crops, as well as for winter wheat and perennial grasses.

The sown area of winter wheat at Prodimex Agro this year is 74 700 hectares which is 34% less than a year before. Area reduction is due to bad weather conditions last autumn: as a result of heavy rains winter crops could not be sown in full. The remaining areas are scheduled to be sown with spring crops and soybeans. The area under spring wheat in 2023 increased by 48% compared to 2022, under spring barley — by 10%, under soybeans — by 16%. Sugar beet is planned to be sown on the comparable area—about 82 000 ha.
