GC of Prodimex’s sugar plants have completed the acceptance of raw materials

All sugar plants of the GC of Prodimex (the leader of the sugar beet industry in Russia) have completed the acceptance of raw materials from the sugar beet farmers. This year, the total volume of sugar beet accepted has been 7.448.000 tonnes, including 5.603.000 tonnes from agricultural enterprises of Prodimex. The GC of Prodimex includes 14 sugar plants in 6 Russian regions.

In the Voronezhskaya oblast, where the half of GC of Prodimex sugar plants are located, the sugar content of sugar beet is quite high this season. The farms in the Ertilsky district have achieved the best crop yield results among the GC’s enterprises in the region.

Olkhovatsky sugar plant, one of the three largest sugar plants in Russia, continues functioning. Last week it completed a processing of sugar beet and began a processing of sugar syrup.

Modernization of production at the Zemetchinskiy sugar plant in Penzenskaya oblast is in progress. The installation of steel erection of a new workshop of small size packaging with the total capacity of 240 tonnes a day has begun over there. Production is scheduled in May 2022. The workshop will pack sugar for retail trade in packages of 1 kg and 5 kg.

Besides all plants of GC of Prodimex have worked out the whole season without major failures. This result is due to a constant processing modernization and efficient control of all technological procedures during the sugar beet processing. Plants of the GC of Prodimex have been making arrangements of the schedule of raw material delivery by beet farmers for many years in time, thus minimizing transport detention and reducing queues at beet reception points. This fall the weather conditions were also favorable.

GC of Prodimex produces more than 1 mln. tonnes of sugar annually. We remind that Expert has already reported that on December 16, the sugar plants of Prodimex produced a millionth tonne of sugar harvested in 2021.

A total area of cultivated land of GC of Prodimex is more than 800 thd. ha.
