According to the Eurasian Sugar Association, at the beginning of February 10 plants in Russia were still producing beet sugar, compared with seven a year earlier.

Center for Agroanalytics believes that total beet sugar production in Russia for the season, taking into account the processing of beet molasses, will be at least 6.4 million tonnes, roughly 100 thousand tonnes higher than last year. According to the IKAR forecast, sugar output this season could reach almost 6.5 million tonnes — 1.9% more than the previous season.

In the 2025/26 season, Prodimex Group plants produced a total of 1.35 million tonnes of sugar. This is more than in the previous season, when about 1.27 million tonnes were produced, clarifies the group’s CEO Viktor Aleksakhin. Processing at the agroholding’s enterprises finished earlier than in the previous season — in the third ten days of January.
